Sing Me The Blues
By Paul Wilson

Gonna dig my own grave
Gonna lay right down and die
Gonna play my guitar
Gonna lay right down and cry

Don’t want no flowers
Don’t need no prayer
Don’t cry for me
Don’t want nobody to care

Let me sing the blues
Let my soul bleed
Let me touch your heart
Let the blues be all I need

Sing me back home sweet Jesus
Sing me the songs momma taught me
Sing the blues before I go
Sing my heart free

I’ve spent my life playing the blues
I’ve traveled the world over
I’ve played with the best
I’ve had many a hangover

Goodbye my love goodbye
Goodbye to the blues
Goodbye to all my friends
Goodbye to my muse

stephen...Glad to see you here also. Thanks so much for taking time to read and reply.
Sure wish more people would be here on a regular basis. Old or new members.

Maybe Ron could get creative and come up with something that would entice old members to come back and get new members involved...Paul

If you really do sing the blues I'd love to hear it! This longs. Getting lost in music has saved me more than once over the years.

Lady T...Sorry I don't sing except to myself and I only play a little air guitar, but I really do love to listen to the blues and a lot of other types of music.
I always felt like music is a big part of my soul and the artist are like us, story tellers with their lyrics. Thanks so much for reading and your sweet reply...Paul
How did you come out of hurricane Sally?

Muses are fickle anyway, Paul.  This was a beautiful rendition, but the blues and the muse both have their very own unique ways of staying in your life.  They both like for you to think they've abandoned you, but deep down, they need you just as much as you need them.

Enjoyed this one very much.

Everybody needs to sing the blues once in a while just as a release. Good job.

Paul,
Sorry for just now getting around to your question about Sally.  No huge fallen oak trees so I'm considering myself blessed.  The yard is still a mess from everything else that shook loose from the trees though. I just have not had time to clean it up. It's just a little overwhelming to think about.  Hope everything was okay there with you.

Hey Paul, I am sorry I did not make my presence felt somehow.  Worked 17 straight days and it took a heavy toll on me both physically and mentally.  I am not as young as I used to be.  Yesterday was my first day off and I spent it recuperating.

I look at this little increment of irreparable cost and irredeemable time and begin to question career paths.

Hope all is well with you. Enlighten me.

Michael...All is fine in my world. Was getting worried about you and asked Temptress to check on you cause I didn't want to bother you. 17 days in a roll man I know you must be wore out. Sure wish you could take 4-5 days off just to rest.Stay well my friend...Paul
