sleep, dear child of light fear not the dark of night rest now in arms of love you, come from above sleep, dear crystal child warm and soft, sharp and wild rest now in love so pure just for you, strong, secure sleep, cry not dear one be still, the day has come this day that you now will be in my life, meant just for me -- That which gives light must endure burning. |

Thank you, Paul. No, not myself. . . I was listening to someone speak of adopting a child, and these words came to mind. . . -- That which gives light must endure burning. |

Hmm..Father Sven. There is an awesome sweetness to this. "...warm and soft, sharp and wild..." I love this line! You know the whole thing could be taken to be about a baby or a spiritual part of anyone any age, right? Enjoyed! "How much is real? So much to question |

Thank you all. I wrote this while listening to someone I know speak of her desire to adopt a child. Just the heartfelt way she spoke of it, inspired me to write this. . . -- That which gives light must endure burning. |
