You may not agree with me
Or the things I have to say
But the last time I looked speech was still free
So they are determined  to take that away.....

We all have the right to disagree
Black, Muslim, Asian or White
Colour makes no difference to me
But we must unite not fight

Why can't the people see
Just what the new normal will be?
As the government gets us to each the other
Blame, attack and accuse
Turning Sister against Brother
Burning books & flags and drowning statues. .

Stay indoors as ordered, observe the mandatory curfews
Do not hug one another or you'll soon discover
How much of your human rights you have left to lose

"Ignorance is the Enemy...."

i Quote Mark Twain approximatively
"United we win, divided we lose", this is so true for the present time, thanks for the thoughtful poem to be read again and again

John...You speak of reality and I agree with you. People protest and burn things, but they are hurting the very people that walk beside them when it counts...Paul

Well written and a truthful write...I want to say what I feel but am sure it would not be right by some and therefore silence reigns...thank you for your courage

There is so much beneath the surface of what is happening in this country...and the world right now.  None of it kosher.  I just can't help but wonder how far up the societal structure we'd have to climb to find out where the puppet-line ends and just who is pulling the strings.
