Reading Words

Reading words filled with emotions
the dark, the light filled with colors
Words that ring with true devotion
from hearts and minds of rare talent

With tears that flow from eyes that feel
the pains and agony of life
Writing is a balm that might heal
from scars laid bare for all to see

My heart cries for the pain endured
for the hurts not chosen of all
Hope burning in heart to be cured
of much that’s hidden deep within

Then my heart rejoices with light
from words that whisper there is hope
Follow the path to make things right
don’t let the darkness consume you

Your words help me to grow, mature
to release anger, fear, and pain
And know that light I can procure
on the path led by words sublime

Teaching I need not fear myself
to know feelings are a part of me
My soul is not on empty shelf
but goes on learning endlessly
