Thus Passes Worldly Glory She reached for me again last night, Nails still embedded in my soul. …And to the truth of the lie That prevents her from harvesting it. I offer it willingly, Though know It will never come to pass In this life. I also know her Well enough to realize That death incarnate Would not be reason enough To prevent either of us From passing alone And in need. A sad truth really. Sic Transit Gloria Mundi.
