I know that number thirteen
has a bad reputation
as being unlucky.
For most people
that seems to hold true.
Then there’s my
ole man and me.
We are having
our thirteenth anniversary.
Call it dumb luck.
Call it what you will.
I’m calling it my
new lucky number.
I’m lucky that
we are both still kickin’.
We’ve dodged the Rona so far.
I’m lucky he is still cancer free.
I’m ever so lucky
he is still in love with me.
I got lucky when I first kissed him,
and decided he was a keeper.
He is my lucky charm,
my rock, my heart.
He is my honey
and I’m his babe.
Thirteen years in
on our way to always.
Lucky in love.
