Very Quietly the world turns, As does the mind, slowly. Thoughts of the past wash Like waves through my mind, Memories cherished then a decade ago come back to me. Things said, gifts sent and received, feelings felt, photos and laughter, real as rain, still linger on in nights silence. Oh why do they go leave? Age brings contrition and forgiveness, time stretches before us, so precious and fleeting. |

Age brings much. My question is why these things mainly come at night. The only thing I see off is "go leave". **ducking now** Enjoyed. "Maybe that's the way I should go Straight into the mouth of the unknown" Shinedown |

I've been here a few times, the quiet contemplation at all hours of the night, half forgotten memories bubbling to the surface. Beautifully written. |

I've lately have come to the conclusion that time shrivels before us and stretches behind us. Sadly, although this is clear in perspective, the things I should have been cherishing along the way are all faded and cross-linked. Beautiful write nonetheless, forgive my jaded outlook please. Michael |
