Comfy cozy in my chair long since wallowed to fit my derriere. A soft fuzzy blanket warms my toes. Safe in a big chair hug, my eyes slowly close and worries fade away. Snug as that bug in the rug, as the saying goes, I’m reluctant to start my day. Peeking open one eye, I reach for my mug filled with my favorite brew. It’s a concoction of coffee to wake me anew. But it doesn’t you see, keep sleep at bay. I doze here until the last second that I can. With a mighty moan I get up fast hurrying to beat the band. In a blink and a blur, I’m on my way. |

I am sorta in the same mood as you are this morning, Lori. Sitting here waiting for the vet to open for business. What a warm and fuzzy poem to start out the day. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Discipline is the foundation for character. You demonstrate a high degree of both Lori Rhoden, just by leaving your 'comfort zone' and doing what needs to be done. As Mr. Adams would say, "a great slice of life write".  Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here... |
