A Letter Too My Daughter
By Paul Wilson

Rest upon your bed of memories
Each one has a special place in your heart
Embrace the day and all it has to offer
Your life is over but now you are reborn
Eternity awaits you dear daughter
Be not afraid of what is yet to come

The journey you have taken
Was over in the blink of an eye
Your pain has ended before you realize
As you look down upon your loved ones
Hearts breaking tears falling like the rain
That you loved so dearly

You tried the best you could
To please all of those whose lives you touched
The fight was more than you could bare
In the end you left us in tears
As we remember your beautiful smile
And all the hearts you touched

So much has changed since you passed away
The world is in isolation because of a virus
People are dying every day young and old alike
I’m so glad you didn’t have to see it all
You would have worried about me and your Momma
And others that you loved

Tomorrow we celebrate Easter
The day Jesus was resurrected
To be with his father in Heaven
You are in Heaven with him I know
To receive his everlasting love
For all of eternity

Last week was your birthday
No candles to be blown out
No phone calls for me to make or jokes to tell you
I kissed your picture like I do every day
But with all my heart I wish
I could have kissed you

This is beautiful and touching Paul.  I noticed you spoke a the call didn't take place this year on her birthday.  If you're like me, you spoke the words you needed to anyway and know they were heard.

When I read how you write of your daughter, I am always opened up emotionally in remembrance to those in my life of whom I held similar reverence. There are a total of two who meet this standard, so I guess what I am trying to say is that to me it is very clear all you lost in losing your daughter.  Hugs to you, my friend.

Michael...Thank you for your kind words, I am getting thru this one day at a time. Really don't have the desire or words to start writing again yet, maybe some day I might try. Seems like when she died my muse and heart died with her. Thanks my friens for caring...Paul
