Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2020-03-22 05:37 AM

What was once just for the weekend
or spring break for a week,
is now possibly months
under one roof.
Places to go are going away,
one by one.
Even the bare shelved stores
are a wasted trip.
Tensions mount under that one roof.
Paychecks panic full time parenting
of bored offspring.
Under one roof
maybe carefree,
a happy family vacation.
Under another roof,
quarters too close
for a pleasant situation.
Under one roof,
one waits alone
in fear and isolation.
Under one roof
a temperature
starts to spike.

Love the knife twist at the end!  I always loved to do that also.

Thanks Jimmy,
I appreciate your attention to detail. And yes, you too have had a handle on the knife.
