Dawn slipped in shades of gray. The sun rose like an ember from ash. Only to be snuffed out by the mist hanging like lace curtains along the horizon. A watercolor wash of palest pink forms above the billowed lace. And the heavens will only hint at the possibility of being blue. And so the morning came to see me in slivers of time and light. Peering in my windows to drive away the night. LGR(C)3/12/20 |
