Lantern yellow Lantern yellow blazes brightly Casts welcome through darkness nightly Pushing shadows away to hide Bringing warmth to the cold outside Lantern yellow offers promised care A place to rest and a place to share A flicker, a dance - the light shines on Until dawn breaks and the dark is gone Lantern yellow shines from within our hearts One tiny spark offers a place to start To allow others haven from life’s storms Erasing fearful hate with love that warms Lantern yellow ... Lovely to see you again, Alison. And what a beautiful, heart-comforting Alison-poem! The only problem I have with it, is that it is difficult to leave it and I keep reading it over and over (and its wonderful effect never lessens), but I can't keep doing that all day!  |
