I'm Just a Realist |

I’ve been told my heart is hard- That may be somewhat true. But if I had the power, I’ll tell you what I’d do- I'd take away this old worlds bad- Put joy in its place- And wipe away the tears of grief- Put a smile on every face. I'd take away the heartache- Replace it all with bliss- Replace recriminations With a gentle smile and kiss. I’d smooth the worry wrinkles From everybody’s brow- Give them a rosy future To replace a dismal now. Alas, I have no power To take away life’s woes- And thorns are all I seem to get- If I chance to touch a rose. So maybe you can call me hard- I doubt that I’ll be missed- I far prefer to think that I… Am just a realist. [This message has been edited by Gunslinger (12-19-2019 08:30 PM).] |

It's lovely to see you back here in PiP, John. Your heart is not always hard, not by a long chalk. Realism can be, and has been wonderful, and of course you would be missed. |
