Excitement is in the air
and it puts ants in the pants
of the students eager to start
Thanksgiving vacation.
Only one day left this week
and two days next week.
Some kids are feeling the pressure
to complete projects,
others are just biding their time.
Teacher and staff are ready
for a break too.
The workrooms are all a buzz
with holiday plans.
The weather has been cold and gray.
They are talking about a bit of snow.
Hopefully, it won’t interfere with travelers.
Turkey Day should be sunny and warmer.
Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing
one of my grandsons and his parents.
They are coming to have dinner with my parents
at the nursing home with us.
My daughter and her fiancé will be there too.
Then my kids are coming back to my house
to visit for a while.
You might say I have ants in my pants
about that.

"Wonderful time of year" truly. I understand the ants in the pants parts, but hope it subsides into relaxation and merriment soon enough for you.

I looked up to see when your Thanksgiving is this year and I see it is Thursday, 2 days from now! Enjoy! May it all go wonderfully well, Lori! "Don't worry! Be happy!" Happy Thanksgiving for Thursday!
