Take Me to the Skyline Oh bad moon daughter skip me like a stone on holy water I am renewed again inside your braying storm Oh good Colorado son he is old but inside still so young I am subdued by a smile breezy and warm And if there’s a constant in the cosmos it’s that two close bodies tend to attract let’s cuddle up and we’ll drink a toast and watch how volatile chemicals react and is there really such thing as destiny well all I know is I never knew a thing until you Take me to the skyline get me there on time I'll not sleep another night filled with a fitful longing fright until you're by my side Oh so sweet and delicious the way you get to me is vicious you are the devil in soft white velveteen Oh so bitter to my tongue every bell inside me has been rung you are an angel in black leather and jeans Take me to the skyline get me there on time I'll not spend another day waiting on the world that’s in my way until you're by my side And if love in its newness feels like this I think on the ecstasy when we're old may every bumpy road lead to bliss me I'll be shaped by this hand I hold and is there really such thing as meant to be all I know is I never believe in anything except you Take me to the skyline get me there on time take me to the skyline heed no speed limit sign I gotta a date and she's so very fine I won't be late so on and on I ride until I reach the skyline where I will be at your side "Somewhere in a burst of glory, sound becomes a song" - Paul Simon |
