If something keeps you captive, let it go! You are better off without it, don’t you know? If you hold on to it, it will surely bring you low- So, listen to me, youngster, let it go. It may be a woman, or a man- Or drugs, or alcohol, that’s out of hand- There are ample opportunities, to fail, I truly know- So, if you’re wise, you’ll surely let it go. Don’t set your heart on romance, if you’re wise- What some call love is merely a disguise- For a heart that covets only to control- You are better off alone, so let it go. Time and tide await none, it is said- There’ll be time enough to rest when we are dead. Live life to it’s fullest, we can’t afford to take it slow- If something holds you back, son, let it go. |
