Like So Much Dust Like so much dust, moments so squeezed In tight fists drift away. We like to trust the gods be pleased And so, will light the way. The rod of truth once held in hand, Seeming solid and firm; Abused from youth, now crushed to sand, But leads us to the worm. The wind will take us where it will, Once glued, we drift apart. Till resolves break and we fall still, Condemned to play our part. Some form to brick, some feed the toil, ‘Few nurture as they can. Still, lone and sick, most greet the soil A curse to fellow man. Some may take root, prosperous chance So granted but a few. Many more, moot, find circumstance The dance they’re overdue. If one may fly, as if gifted, To prove all dreaming just… The rest just die and so, sifted, We fall away like dust. Michael Anderson |

Michael...Very profound write. If I read this right it's about the choice we have once our life is over or rather the choices our loved ones are faced with if we don't make the choice of how we want to be taken care of before our death. As I said in your reply to my poem "Walk With Me" my daughter passed away last night and before dying she made the choice of cremation My heart is heavy and I am trying to keep my mind busy so I don't have to think of her being gone, But I know she is in Gods hands...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |
