in the morning

the sun and moon look over me
and the breeze a wanton friend
The earth directs my footsteps
through a journey of many bends

i sail the water of certainty
and walk the shores of content
if she isn't forever with me
i'll sing the songs of lament

in the eve of slumbering journeys
i rest to a sun-less skies
and often see the morning break
to await her cheerful guise

i expect the rise of sunny days
and the wither of lonely nights
for the voice within my lovers lips
is her love in my mornings light.
