BitterSweet My Window~ Twenty five degree temperature drop, gazing through the panes, standing still and quiet, yet stirred inside, thoughts crisp and deliberate past smoking chimney's, while wind gossips through gold mosaic leaves, and the bonfire of me embraces all the soul can gather under the watch of a Fall sky. Growing older but none the wiser for I am just another motherless child lost in the wood, in need of fireglow comfort and tender words, only what most of us crave in this heady season of change & russet hearts. Oh..beautiful burn of Fall you singe the hills of my imaginings, I am in your spell, wrapped in a shawl of mist and melancholy. Tears fall unexpectedly, they drop to the sill as if to greet the cold October rain.. © Augustsky |
