Fair to middlin' of nowhere

On Paper

My place on paper.
It has been safe haven
for my thoughts
and comfort zone
for my ego,
the she shed
of my soul.
My place on paper
is filled with the ink
of God blessed sunrises.
I’ve signed words
nature inspired.
I have shared the deepest
of that which I desired.
My place on paper
is always open to me,
at my heart’s desire.
Though some days,
it seems the lights are off
and nobody’s home.
My place is
on paper.

Sky,
Your enthusiasm is a blessing. I didn't want a little self confidence to come across as conceit. Warms my heart to know we have a "place" in common. ~L

I thoroughly believe our on paper selves to be far more genuine than our real life selves.  Where one may or may not interact socially, dependent possibly on who'd they be interacting with...on paper we our our first and foremost critic, and whom we write for most of all...least when not overcome by that squishy love stuff.

Wow! Wouldn't attempt to say it any better.

"Though some days,
it seems the lights are off
and nobody’s home."   . . . becoming more and more prevalent with me it seems.

I know I'm not in here much, but it's hard not to see JerryP's not around . . . Know anything?

Pilgrimage,
Thanks for the red and comment. It is just about my most favorite thing in the whole wide world to have someone agree with me. ~L
