28 September 2001

Two hearts beating, pulsing,
love’s own blood,
passionate, bonded, tender kissing,
softly attuned into one life poem,
but each its own song to the other,
flying like kites in teasing thermals,
smiling heart eyes into our souls,
heart hands held for all time, ever,
singing secrets back and forth
always true and never doubted
loving laughter
laughter giving
giving essence
to our living
these are the hearts that are gagged and bound
and crying, crying, crying
and left to die alone, in our latest storm ..
With love like ours, there is no pride,
so why are we apart?
Apart, our pain won't go, you know.
It would be so easy to choose life and love and us
and who you are.
We have before .. when all was lost
after each little misunderstanding hurt.
Please do.

Owl,
You plead a good case for love, I pray it wins the day. ~L

It has, thank you, Lori even without this poem.
