Take With the Morning These burgeoning dreams like the candy coating on everything I'll take with the morning And if my north holds true I'll arise and murder the gloom and go without a warning Put your hooks into me and I'll throw out my anchor do my damndest to plant my feet but I'm a fool needing to run free like a wild animal endangered but I'm sorry for the things I couldn't be I will follow the sun west never stray, never stop, never rest I'll take to the morning And should my way detour I'll follow the stars to the shore dance in the sun's first warming Trace the footprints on your heart you’ll find they lead right back to you but don’t let it tear you apart me I’m back here at the start of the morning I took to but I’m not sorry for feeling that spark And these burgeoning dreams like the candy coating on everything I will try to leave to the morning "Somewhere in a burst of glory, sound becomes a song" - Paul Simon |
