Happy to share with everyone, coming October a collections of 40 of my nature poems are getting published in a book format with 7 of my illustrations. Would like to thank this forum for inspiring me! Here is a poem from my other series of poem on life. This one is not part of my upcoming book. Toddler's Armchair Phthalo blue she wears, with cracks here and there, Her legs rock, a nail about to fall, well just, Though fragile now, still a toddler’s fancy armchair, In a corner room she lays, gathering fine dust, Mornings are lonely times when everyone is busy, Except the sun who visits her through the top, By the noon yellow is too bright; it drives her dizzy, Hot air blows through her gaps nonstop, Evenings are testing times, when the toddlers are there, He licks the dust, pulls her nails, rips her paint, If not for him, she is just another old blue chair. With cracks, rust, shadows, with color blue so faint. @Prasad.N May 16th 2017 All rights reserved to Prasad.N |
