31 August 2019 Honour and mourn Sorrow with love, respect and gracious dignity and carry her heavy on your heart for Sorrow is Love’s bride and the measure and cost of Love; and Love’s bride does not look to be cast aside but laid down gently on soft, green, welcoming grass. Clothe her in exquisite, diaphonous funeral dress, embrace her one final time, and with a last, lingering, farewell kiss, let her fall asleep in the quietness of time and solemn stillness and to sink into the loving arms of Earth to fade forever and ever more into nothingness but the breath of Earth’s heart. Then plant new seeds of Happiness of your own creation and hard work and good will and determination. Nurture them, bless them, water them, sun the new growths, love their frailty into strength, grow them into fullness and delight in their and your rewards. |

Never found it to be this easy . . . But carry on - there is no other choice. |

Thank you for your honest and heartfelt reply, Ed. No, it is not easy, that is why I had to write the poem and throw my heart and soul into it. Nothing important and worthwhile, ever is easy and it always requires total and utter dedication - and, in the case of those we have lost, we owe it to them because that is what they would wish for us - as we would have for them if the tables were turned - and in the case of those who have rejected us, we owe it to ourselves, and in the case of those we have rejected for whatever reason, we owe it to them to wish it for them, and because we care for them, no matter what they have done to us to make us reject them, even if only for our own well-being and protection. I know that you particularly understand the lines: for Sorrow is Love’s bride and the measure and cost of Love; Wishing you every fragment of happiness you can find. Gather them and celebrate them. |
