Oh where have they gone
Just where can they be
It has been so very long
Fades as a distant memory

Though it seems as if yesterday
Your smiles and laughter were here
So suddenly they are gone today
Where are you oh where

My world is getting smaller
Or so it would seem
Friends and family no longer
Heard from or to be seen

Sometimes wish for myself
As the next one who ascends
And with the darkened stealth
Follow the shadows in the winds
