Brush Silence has a voice, it whispers oh so soft. All while the angels sing, if distant and aloft. Not sure I have a choice in the song that I follow. For echoes ever ring within hearts that beat hollow. The drummer sets the pace, the piper lays the path. But we all march alone, unto the aftermath. And what’s a well-lined face, if sharing the reward Where Darkness strikes a tone that bleeds out the accord? The chorus wraps around your heart and chokes it out. The haze is all about, and still you choose to doubt. A touch with its own sound, you take a sudden breath. For you feel it throughout, this is your brush with Death. You had something to say, the moment passed you by. A lifetime gone astray, in the blink of an eye. A skeletal foray, into realms of the damned. Where nothing could allay that clinched tight, empty hand. Silence speaks for us all, its message loud and clear. Still most are unaware, as we just dally here. A weight one can’t forestall, the ending just begun, Once you forget you care, and the vanity’s run. Michael Anderson |

Michael, Your voice is always outstanding. It is so distinct in tones of woe. You are the best of blue. ~L |
