Waist Deep in Love I’ve spent all my time and my very last dime to be the man on the scene in the service of a queen She remains touchless in the night just beyond my grasp in a dreamy flight and I’m alone again and I know it so well and I remember the game so the check’s in the mail Watch out below look out above surrender to the flow waist deep in love waist deep in love I've saved up my hopes but I have learned to cope with being a man in search of a way to prove my worth To the woman who makes the day begin like a weeping willow she bends and I'm safe beneath far away from harm and I found a new belief a cathedral in her arms Look out below watch out above tickled by the glow waist deep in love waist deep in love Watch out below look out above these feelings as they grow waist deep in love waist deep in love waist deep deep in love in love Tomorrow has come today and there's so much we could say but words fall useless we'll leave it with the rest as we take flight together baptized by this weather falling from above neck deep in love "Put your ear down close to your soul and listen hard" -Anne Sexton |
