If Time Stood Still By Paul Wilson If all the stars in the sky lost their glow If the man in the moon had nowhere to go If all the rivers suddenly ran dry If I lost you today how many tears would I cry If the hands of time moved no more If the past was locked away behind a door If loved ones we know no longer knew us If your tender kisses were replaced by mistrust I remember the first time we met Your tender smile I will never forget My heart found love that night Somehow both of us knew it was right Tomorrows dreams will have to wait A lifetime shared together this our fate Darling you made my life complete Till this day your kisses are so sweet If the Sun shall rise no more I will be waiting on a distant shore Waiting for you to join me once more Remembering all the love we shared before If ever fate brings you back to me If tomorrow finds us happy and carefree If the stars in the sky glow endlessly If the man in the moon resumes his journey Our favorite song still playing in my head Visions appear of the day we wed The life we shared so special to me I will always love you Molly Copy Righted 3/10/19 ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

You’re speaking to and of my heart. Every word every single sentiment says it all and so much more. Your poem runs way deep and brings tears to my eyes. Pure perfection, good poet. [This message has been edited by BluesSerenade (03-15-2019 12:24 AM).] |

Brought tears to my eyes too. Paul. What a beautiful love, cradling such perfectly painted bittersweet memories! Yes, if time stood still is an exquisite thought, but, in the bigger picture, we would stagnate . . . in joy that could not increase, in sorrow that would not have its sharp edges rounded, in wounds that would not heal, in souls that would turn to stone. |
