She opened her eyes and she stretched in her bed, then she rose up just like a skylark Andher eyes still glowed softly ,for she had spent dreams just dancing in the dark, Immersed in the beauty of what she had dreamed, she drifted just like an illusion That somehow had risenfrom dreamland with her, in magical dancing confusion, lace curtained light lit her soft elfin face, then lifted her eyes from the evening gloom That brought her arising from yesterday’s arms, a cameo Princess alone in her room, She wove herself onto the loom of the day like a tapestry waiting for rainbows to glow Then she wandered alone through a greenwood lit walk, where kiss soft breezes blow. Smiling to the sky she waved to the sun, for the Princesses faerie tale had just begun She opened her wings in a rainbow of life, andlaughed as the rain touched the sun , As the magic of dawn danced in gold autumn leaves ,she smiled at natures soft weaves For a faerie princess neverneeds to be told, it’s just that she simply believes, In the beauty of dreams turning from grey to gold, and flowers that reach for the air And she wanders along in her own carefree way, with the beauty she wishes to share, She’s perfume and whisper leavestossed in a breeze ,withessences wind drifting on For the elfin princess is wrapped up in the seasons, until they have been and are gone Sometimes she laughed and others she cried, and yetsometimes she simply sighed For wordsbring pain to the braves of souls, as they travel through rain as it cried, Yet she lifted her heart as she lay in her bed and dreamed of the places she’d been Her years of sweet peace she hoped would never cease, or the marvels they had seen, For she had had so much on her mind and the problems of kin weighed her down Causing many a tear in her other half’s eyes, and sometimes not a smile just a frown, Whenever the Faerie princess felt that the weight of life had been giving her pain The sweetness of love made her flutter her wings, and feel a true princess again… |
