Before The Dawn Venus to the left Jupiter to the right of A waning sliver of moon Waving to red Antares As if to say "Come, Join my pale light." Low in the Southeast lie The gems and broach Of the sky Visit me this Cold, cold morn Leaving me to sigh. Gracious is this beauty Blessed to wake, am I To find a bit of magic Beneath this dazzling high. (C) KRJ 1-31-2019 |

There's a certain peace that you can get from looking at the sky in the pre-dawn hours. The kind that pauses you as you take a deep breath, fully exhale and contentedly acknowledge just how small we are in the order of the cosmos. Enjoyed your reflection, K. Will take a little minute to look up when I head out in the morning. |
