Stop bailing with a wooden spoon, our ship is going down If we don't jump real soon then the two of us will drown Choose your own analogy, “thin ice, trapeze”, or “high wire” Maybe “shipwrecked on the seven seas” or a “pedalo on fire” You know its hard to say goodbye, but it's harder to say good buy... We invested so much time, but it came to nothing in the end We lost our common interests, there was nothing left to spend Time to close the joint account and strut our stuff on out the door Though I hoped that you and I would amount to something more You know its hard to say goodbye, but it's harder to say good buy... ![]() ...just bein' Bluesy |

I hate goodbyes Bluesy... especially when they come from good buys like cheap dates and imaginary friends. They are hard to find and like impossible to replace. Know what I mean? ~L |

I think I do, Miss Lori. I never knew it academically...but I feel it still at times. Those are among the very few feelings I can't define but do manage to express them in the silence of motion. They go a bit further than poetry. Thanks so much for feeling this one as you did. ![]() ...just bein' Bluesy |
