How long have you lived,
Without true love's kiss?
Or the love that would grow,
From the joy that you've missed?

How long has it been,
Since your heart was on fire?
Since all that you felt,
Was a burning desire?

How long have you lived,
With your heart closed so tight?
Alone in your dreams,
As you sleep through the night...

Has your love been lost,
Like a ship on the sea?
Or is your love burning,
So deeply in me...

Now in the middle of the third decade.

This feeling has never left me.

Insightful, relatable, with a pleasant rhyme scheme.

Good...very good, Daniel.
