Wrap-around stars retreat in the background no longer to shoulder the sycamores, missing but morning brings showers, suggesting the symphonic while rain cannot hide from the cloud cover the pitch, the crescendo as I will reach up for you, in your downpouring as the leaves congregate, along with the lexicon of rain speak, in all that fly by, still shaken off by the mother tree presenting in custom colors I wore in my younger daze your ambers siennas and persimmons will dazzle the faithless ones, with eyes that will paint on the starkest and leanest of landscapes, sugarcoating the realization of as winters ring harsher now tethered with mountains of months of these shivering midnights rounding these plumb crazy hills but I will sip slow on the elixir of moonshine and madness, sprinkled with pipedreaming and dot connecting as poetry writes the salvation [This message has been edited by EvaRoss (12-09-2018 06:12 PM).] |
