Santa asked of elf so wee,
"What present would you like from me?
So I can put it on my list,
Then Christmastime, Wee won't be missed."
Wee replied, "Wee'd like a pet,
A puppy dog, Wee'd love to get,
The other elves, they have this quirk,
All they do is work, work, work.
Wee needs someone with whom to play,
Instead of working, day after day."
Santa said, "Wee'll have to see,
Pets are a major, responsibility.
Food and water and messes galore,
Taking for walks, and so much more,
What about trips to the vet?
Let's have no more talk, about getting a pet."
Wee sulked away, sad as can be,
Feeling sorry, for poor, poor Wee.
No more was said of getting a pet,
But you can bet, Wee didn't forget,
Well days flew by, it was soon Christmas Eve,
Santa Claus was ready to leave,
His sleigh filled with toys,
For all good girls and boys,
Then off Santa flew, into Christmas Eve sky,
Wee Elf left behind, wee tear in Wee's eye.
Wee had no idea, what present Wee'd get,
Except that Wee knew, it would not be Wee pet,
Probably some toy, or worse maybe some clothes,
Wee Elf was sad, from Wee head to Wee toes,
So sniffling Wee Elf, went off to Wee's room,
No Christmas joy, filled with Wee gloom.
Christmas morning Wee woke, slowly went to the tree,
Wee still not happy, as to what Wee would see,
Then behind Christmas tree, Wee Elf did espy,
A glorious sight, it made Wee Elf cry,
Wee Elf was yelling, jumping with joy,
For what Wee Elf saw, was clearly no toy,
Wearing a bow, in wee little carrier,
Was the world's cutest, wee toycup Yorkie Terrier.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Wee night!!!

Yaaaaaeeeee~! Santa came through for Wee Elf, and all was joyous from that wee day on. I really did love this Wee little poem.
