A Last Goodbye By JLHunter The time that rages quiet by Engages one whose soul yearns, And even seconds quickly fly. When said man silhouettes the sky, His tortured shadow writhes and churns As angels' voices weep and sigh. Whilst he must watch as daylight burns, And long lost dreams of love now die, He spoons them into battered urns. Then hourglasses taking turns Recount the raging hours that ply The highway, as old age it spurns. And finally his heart knows why... Eventually his sad soul learns That each regret his pain now earns Is smothered with his mournful cry, ...And ended with a last goodbye. Copyright JLHunter 2017 (NdP Shawn H. It's a good poem Hunter, but who'd wanna live like that? So full of sorrow, melancholia and wretchedness. Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please! |

A sad poem, JL. It's just life though, isn't it? Good read! |

In any one's life that last goodbye must be quite dreadful to face, yet its a part of life! |

Great play on words within the body of this very good poem, JL. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
