One More Dance
By Paul Wilson

I remember those weekend dances
seem like only yesterday
We were all happy and carefree
you and I dancing the night away

You were the one that caught my eye
I asked you to dance and you said yes
I was so nervous that first time
we danced… I had to do my best

We were in the same grade
but never spoke much at all
We would say hi to each other
whenever we met in the hall

You were my favorite one to dance with
whenever they played a slow tune
Everything seemed to fade away
I felt on top of the moon

I don’t know how we ever became
dance partners and never dated
We shared so much on the dance floor
till the year we graduated

Always friends…never dating each other
We had a special friendship thru our teenage years
I think of you from time to time and how our lives changed
I’ll never forget those dances we shared over the years

I wish we could share one more dance together
like all those we shared before
You were a special friend to me
I wish God would let you dance once more

Lori...She was a very special friend to me and pretty much helped me from being so shy around girls back when we were teens. Thanks so much for reading and understanding...Paul
