Here comes the moon
With silvery face
The shadows run and hide
And tethered to the stars that tug
It seems all heaven is on her side

But you are far from me this night
So I wonder, as through your eyes
You see the same moon just as bright
And think of me as a lover’s swoon

I can barely take your absence
Though a poet said it makes us fond
And appreciate the times together
Let me say I’d much the rather
Always and forever have you near

Always and forever
That would make me fond
Because without you, I fear
Even with the moon a rising
She’s not as bright as when you’re here

Wish I had been mentally able to write such a poem when I was having trouble
with my martial and relationship love affairs. Very well constructed.

Really nicely done. Welcome to Pip. Good to see another person here from Colorado..

I know this feeling.  I wrote something a while back that has a musing about the absence and fondness saying.  I don't buy it any more either. Pardon me while I excavate. Enjoyed.
