where our souls used to converse
she remembers
of course she does
that ramshackle old house
where we used to meet
meet me there again
when the clock strikes twelve midnight
the bewitching hour
I’ll be there holding my breath
my lungful of air
will be near the breaking point
but I await patiently
it will all be forgiven within
our lovers' kiss
