I see the Jackrabbit centered at the bottom of the V-notch where my front sight rests on its eye – then it shakes back and forth up, and down – I re-acquire my aim . . . just as quickly, it shakes again. Damn. I squint tightly, blink my eyes, re-aim . . . but all I see is its black tail and big ears fading into the background, dust spurts kicking up behind it. oh Jimmy my friend, the trembling hands of old age come to haunt us. All we need now is a stoop to our shoulders and a shuffle to our steps and the transformation is complete. Getting old sucks. ~L |

I'm to that infernal age where I must watch every darn step to keep from falling. Eh, even so I've fallen a few times. I've hurt nothing except my pride. Agree with Lori, old age really sucks. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
