Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2018-05-07 05:22 AM

I have always enjoyed
moving things around
every so often
to give things
a fresh look.
In this last house
I have lived in
for the last ten years,
there hasn’t been
much wiggle room
to rearrange in.
So I couldn’t be
more delighted
than I am now.
My daughter moved out,
leaving me a bedroom
and and a bathroom
to redecorate.
Every picture on the wall
is up for recycling.
I can move an antique chest
out of the living room
and away from the windows.
I can pick my favorite color
and run with it in the bathroom.
I can knickknack myself silly.
I can make  flaming red and yellow
silk flowers in a pot on the porch,
saving a yellow one for the bedroom
to pop against the royal blue walls.
My head is awash with colors
and creativity.
And my soul is joyful.

WoW! You do have a mind full of colors and seemingly cannot wait to get started on them. Gotta love it.

Now if my body could just keep up with my head
I'd be in good shape. ~L
