I hear a bird at daybreak, singing his heart out in the side yard, as if it was its sole responsibility to make the sun come up. As it chirps its solo, the sky brightens and I listen for the choir of other birds to begin. But all falls silent, as if the sun was up far enough for now blushing pink light across the sky. As if it was time to be still and take it all in. |

My goodness yes, the beautiful birds, especially at daybreak is nature ultimate symphony. Beautifully poem, Lori. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Thanks Jerry. As long as I can still hear the birds sing and appreciate them I'm doing okay. ~L |

He [it] or she seems to alternate between reaching up and clapping. A fine accolade either way! ![]() ...just bein' Bluesy |
