la belle dame sans amour

another rain squall another unknocked door
shaking pretensions outta my hair
the newsprint of her touch is front page news
coffee rings of my mindless wanderings
all these things pile up like soccer mom cars on my mind
she
the word he with a snaking s in front of it
she
the sound shhh borrows a vowel
dare I solve this puzzle
dare anyone?
it could be worth the time, the march of dimes spent to see her smile
melt me woman I stick around all day
silly putty in your hands
I'm dreaming to be
tracing nights embalmed with expensive perfume
cherchez la femme!
another footfall another unlocked door
point the way mon ami
just what I'm looking for
la belle dame sans amour

Really good work here! As I'm writing this I realized the French for emphasis works well and has been done by the romantic master PePe Le Pew. Not that your work was humorous. But that the French was a great touch and it really added to the piece. ~L
