She can’t box her memories or store them away
in stuffy old drawers just to invoke or delay
her excuses for forgetting

She keeps her shelves dusty with pretentious images of knowledge
But in my own forgetfulness, I set ‘fancy free’ to the wind
If it will have it...let it then haunt her and give me a thrill

She was always out for the kill...
