Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Ah, yes,
it is all coming back
to me now
that we haven’t
turned on the AC
and it is 79 degrees
in the house
at 4:00 in the morning.
Went to bed
with windows open
and a sweaty brow.
No need for covers.
Sitting in front of the fan
I’m comfortable.
But in the back
of my mind creeping
is the dread of heat to come.
Hot cars are the worst-
E-Z Bake ovens on wheels.
I do not take the heat well.
It gets worse every year.
Some say it’s going to be a hot one.
I can hardly wait.

I hate winter and summer. I think there should only be two seasons, spring and fall.
