The Space Between our Hearts A long-shadow sunset paints the West horizon in crimson and amethyst. A blue moon rising dances the Eastern mountain tops as one by one the stars come on. A thick evening frost settles like condensed moonlight over this remnant of vanishing wilderness. A last North wind blows from ten thousand miles; yet my mind and spirit turn South to the approaching Spring with only thoughts and dreams of you though the endless, oblivious business of this tired world still fills all lonely space between our hearts. --- b. e. adams |

quote:Like a poem within a poem Bruce. Enjoyed your poetry very much. From the cold, crisp air of Winter to the sanguine hopes which lay dormant now, but soon to be awakened by the breath of Spring. BTS ...just bein' Bluesy |

I like the image of a blue moon dancing on mountain tops as stars come on. So dreamy this one, 'Poet. |
