Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2018-03-30 10:54 AM

The predawn sky is ablaze by the moon on the horizon.
The light fog rolls by eerily overhead,
An owl swoops through the headlight beams
making the everyday commute seems surreal.
Traffic is so sparse on the highway
this time of the morning,
I pass no one.
No one passes me.
I enjoy the solitude…
The wind is enough company for me.
Dreading the day ahead
with not enough to do.
I know it will be a long one
and I want to play hooky
and crawl back under covers.

I'd have seriously considered it if I had any paid time off left .  With Spring break and being sick I'm gonna be short nearly two weeks this month. Yeow! ~L

Ma always said; "Things just have a way of working out."

She was usually right.

Lori...Seems like you need a little R & R, but then you would miss those early morning drives that you seem to enjoy very much. Hard choice too make. Enjoyed...Paul

Paul,
Napping is my hobby. I'm always up for some R&R. Those early morning drives take me to work and that, my friend, is 7.75 hours of nap prep. ~L
