Continents spurt and seep
as white moonlight dapples
soft hooded mountains

Luminous trees grow rapidly,
their fragile newborns' left shivering
across the surreal cold of darkness

An oil spill shaped in deep blue,
pools deep and menacingly formless
reaching for an appearance of dew-laden stars
