Ashes to ashes Dust to dust A heart unbroken Is covered with rust Whether dream or lie There go I Be broken or not My heart will not rot It seeks and searches Pain reverses It strikes it flails In darkness it wails But rust it will be The color of me Loving out loud Alone in a crowd Love is kind |

There are worse things than a rusty heart. Apparently you need to lower your standards quite a bit and find love with a loser a time or two....Rust don't look half bad after that. Seriously, though, it is a good poem. ~L |

Rust merely means you have fought some wars, won and lost your fair share. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
