When we get to be of a certain age, we become very wary of falling. We have learned, by now, that things don’t mend as fast. We don’t bounce back like we used to. And it just plain hurts more. Ice is our nemesis. We wear traction soled boots and walk like penguins. But despite all our precautions, accidents happen. Like today to moi. Walking out of school to go home, I tripped, slipped and hit the sidewalk. I twisted my right foot and sent my purse that was in my right hand flying. Then I did a perfect three point landing On my left knee (I have a boo-boo) my left side (coat covered in ice melt) and left hand (broken blood vessel) throwing my can of Diet Dr. Pepper. Apparently my awesome fluff and stuff helped break my fall. Perhaps I bounced a bit. But I didn’t crash and burn in one big splat. I could have broken a hip like that. LGR(C)2/22/18 |

Hmm. My acute mathematical skills tell me with relative certainty that what you are saying...is 'yes'. But I guess I cheated some 'cause I remember you having a birthday...of some substantial number. I better let this go. I don't think I'm doing all that well...  ...just bein' Bluesy |
