It's Tuesday and there is nothing to resist in the landscape, all the gray winter long we sally the pear orchard, the birch branches, streak the icy river with reflection, as if to barricade the current, over and over the yellowhammer's song slips the thick gorse bush, a path of blanched grain splints in the errant sun, and here, you brand our dream's insomnia upon my inner forearm, at my elbow, a pothole moment in which a burr in the fetlock of my carriage horse gnarled deep into ligament, and was cut away by the driver's ripe blade, over and over, love reigned the wildflower into thorn, translated the taste of tar for this kiss you drew, out of its stupor, still our damp whispers spread through the treble of sleeplessness, the flower in our hand darkens and from its center, nectar floods its silver venom, oblivious, the stamen draws down into dusk, into blue, unruly blue, O fragment, what crocus dreams you? Once, you said, the sky was all Summer's breath, yet elsewhere, I hear collapse the sigh, the sternum aquiver, I dream you are still alive, miracles do not occur but by the light, as whole erasures of air retreat at random, and again, again, memory, you cheat, you faithless thief, what have you done?   |

Oh boy, Baby Girl, those last kickass three lines grabbed me big time . . . quote: Such sensuousness . . . Ahhh . . . That picture. Remember it well. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |

you 'word paint' grand-fine imagery in such unique and well-turned phrases ... always a joy to read. (a fascinating writing style ... so very different from my Zenesque "minimalistic constructionalism") |

Dream poet...thanks so much for taking this journey with me! My style is no style at all...LOL...it's just stream of consciousness, drunk ramblings...LOL...I have never been of fan of rules ...or structure...so it is usually pretty raw stuff....thank you, though for putting up with it...and I'm so glad you are sticking to these blue pages. I enjoy you poetry too... |

I've 'penned' over 1700 of my lil' 'poetic scribbles' ... the largest number of which are typically 5 minute 'writes' containing cascading images of the natural world ... and have most often a form of 'stream of consciousness' as an origin. I have never really understood WHY I am 'compelled to write' nor how it happens ... I may be simply channeling over 1500 years of 'consciousness' of my Celtic ancestry; a biospheric (planetary) consciousness of Gaia; and perhaps an overarching cosmic (universal) consciousness of which we are all an integral part. |

Absolutely...the drive to write stems from some deeply twisted strand in the DNA...not everybody has it...and there is no obvious rhyme or reason for those who do...it just is! Write-on~*~* |
